Pastor David F. Richards, III

Beloved,

Greetings in the joyous name of the Lord, Jesus Christ.  My family, Linda, David IV, Micah, Aaron, Joshua and myself come to work with the loving Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church of Decatur, GA and the community with great enthusiasm.  We come to celebrate, rejoice and to give thanks unto the Heavenly Father for showering us with His Divine favor upon the Mt. Zion ministry.  This family of believers has a rich history of serving in the metro-Atlanta community for 144 years.

The Sovereign Lord continues to bless the saints of Mt. Zion to engage in the ministry of evangelizing the lost, offering reconciliation to the fallen, healing to those who are sick, hope to the down-trodden, by way of preaching and teaching of the gospel and by being doers of God’s Holy Word.  Let us continue to live a life that impacts seniors, empowers young adults and inspires our youth to share the love of the risen Savior, Jesus Christ.

Here at the "Zion", we are praying, fasting and meditating on the Word to influence a positive change in ourselves and effect change in this global ministry.  We are excited about the endless possibilities of working together to P.U.S.H, "Pray Until Something Happens".  For the Holy Spirit is stimulating us with a quest for a deeper commitment with our Redeemer, (Jesus Christ).

As we forge into this millennium, we believe family education, formal education and social education weaves a unique tapestry when the foundation of serving The Holy One is the quintessential core to successful living.  We must remain in Christ for he said, "I am the vine, you are the branches.  Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5.

Trusting in and believing our living Messiah is the only key that opens the windows of heaven, to flood our lives with protection, provision and power to endure through the journey of life.  We invite you to worship and fellowship with us anytime.

In the service of the Most High,

Reverend David F. Richards, III
